Denis Roux, chief informaiton officer, investment bank at [Deutsche Bank](https://www.finextra.com/company-news/2358/deutsche-bank), told Reuters that projects that had previously taken more than two years to complete are getting done in three to six months. "We know the productivity is there," said Roux who spoke to Reuters at a banking conference in Bengaluru. "All I'm hoping to do is use these tools to continue to make things more efficient." According to the Reuters report, Deutsche Bank's use of AI is based on token quotas. With the majority of AI developers moving to a usage-based pricing model, engineers at the bank are allocated a number of token quotas and must demonstrate value before requesting any additional capacity. "We monitor the usage patterns... we don't want to slow people down and want them to keep going, but we also want to get a return." More than 9,000 technology workers are employed by Deutsche Bank in India, equivalent to 45% of its global tech workforce. It is not the first time that Deutsche Bank has spoken publicly about the impact of AI on the bank's operations. In May, the bank revealed that it was applying AI to the review of third party vendor risks.
