The funding transaction values the company at roughly €200m. According to Festina, the capital will be used to support the next phase of its expansion plans which includes the continuied development of its life and pensions platform and plans to expand its presence in the UK market. The growth investment was led by UK-based investor Birchway Capital. Meanwhile, existing shareholder Netcompany will hold a 22% stake in Festina Finance following the transaction. “The pensions and life insurance industry is undergoing a major technology transformation, driven by the need to replace legacy infrastructure with more modern, flexible platforms," said Festina Finance founder Morten Schantz.
